Terms of service
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms apply to QuickenERP, the online business software provided by Quicken Accounting ("we", "us"). By starting a trial or a subscription you ("the customer") accept them on behalf of your business.
1. The service
Each customer gets a separate database with the apps of the chosen product. We host, update and back up the database. You decide who uses it: you create and remove your own users.
2. Free trial
The trial is free and lasts the number of days shown on the pricing page, with a limited number of users. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends without a subscription the database becomes read-only: you can still sign in, see and export your data, but not change it.
3. Subscription and prices
- Prices are per user, per month or per year, in the currency of your country, as shown on the pricing page or agreed with you in writing. Prices are final: no tax is added.
- Users are counted automatically. The bill of a period follows the highest number of users in that period. Users you add during a period are billed for the rest of that period (prorated); users you remove are no longer billed from the next period.
- A user who works in more than one company, or uses Premium apps, is a Premium user.
- Yearly plans include guided setup hours as shown on the pricing page. Unused hours expire at the end of the year.
- We may change list prices with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. A change applies from your next period, never to a period you already paid.
4. Payment
You pay by card or by bank transfer. A card you save is charged automatically at each renewal; you can remove it at any time on your billing page. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers. Invoices are due on the date shown on them.
If a payment is not received, your administrator is reminded by e-mail and in the database. Seven days after the due date the database becomes read-only until the invoice is paid. Paying makes it work again at once (bank transfers after we see the money or a proof).
5. Read-only databases and deletion
A database that stays read-only for 90 days (unpaid or cancelled) is deleted after e-mail reminders. Before deleting we make a final backup that we keep for 30 days; you can ask for it through support in that time. After that the data is gone for good.
6. Your data
Your data belongs to you. You can export it at any time and ask for a full copy. We use it only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. Our staff open your database only when you allow support login, and every support login is listed for your administrator.
7. Your responsibilities
Keep your passwords safe, give access only to people you trust, and use the service lawfully (see the acceptable use policy). You are responsible for the correctness of the data you enter, including invoices and tax figures.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available and updated, and plan maintenance outside business hours where possible. We do not promise uninterrupted service and offer no service level agreement unless agreed in writing. Support is given through the support chat in your database.
9. Liability
The software is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost data caused by your own use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Cancellation and end of service
You can cancel at any time; the subscription then ends at the end of the paid period (see refunds & cancellation). We may suspend a database that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, after a warning unless the breach is serious.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Important changes are announced by e-mail at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the support chat in your database, or write to us through the contact details on this website.
